If you live in any major metropolitan area, chances are you've seen her album cover, even if you haven't heard her yet. &nbsp; <br /><br />But who hasn't heard her yet?<br /><br />It's the type of hype that has critics, and struggling singer-songwriters alike, fuming.&nbsp; And it would bother me too except, she's good.&nbsp; She has a clear aesthetic, one I believe could fill a "bad girl" niche that's been left in pop music since the passing of Amy Winehouse.&nbsp; And even if she isn't the powerhouse live performer that Amy was, she's a much stronger lyricist, pushing song form in a way I would describe as progressive.<br /><br />With well-written, recorded and produced songs her album delivers exactly what it promises: "gangsta Nancy Sinatra."<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7527242339447852356-4897804837113963981?l=incidental-music.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>alimusicologyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17245761255193929722noreply@blogger.com0
